Trump Attorney and City Mayor, Rudy Guliani “immediately suspended” from practicing law in New York state on Friday owing to his “false and misleading” statements about the stolen 2020 elections. The 33-page court document highlights that “these false statements were made to improperly bolster respondent’s narrative that due to widespread voter fraud, victory in 2020 United States presidential election was stolen from his client.”
The court’s decision also represented that Mr. Guliani’s actions were an “immediate threat” to the public and he had “inflamed” the tensions that led to the January Capitol riot.
The decision read, “The seriousness of respondent’s uncontroverted misconduct cannot be overstated. This country is being torn apart by continued attacks on the legitimacy of the 2020 election and of our current president, Joseph R. Biden.”
Guliani’s lawyers claimed that “This is unprecedented as we believe that our client does not pose a present danger to the public interest,” they said. “We believe that once the issues are fully explored at a hearing, Mr. Giuliani will be reinstated as a valued member of the legal profession that he has served so well in his many capacities for so many years.”
Guilani claimed that he could prove the fraud lingering on to the 2020 presidential elections where dead people rose from their graves to cast their votes. Though he offered no evidence, but he certainly had traveled the country to press his claims with lawmakers in various battleground states.
This suspension marks a stunning phase in the rise and fall of Mr. Guilani’s profession as a political star. But why did this happen now and does it have any correlation with ex-President Trump?
