Deceased Pennsylvania Democrat state representative reelected

By Madeleine Hubbard | Just The News

Pennsylvania voters reelected a Democrat state representative who died last month, official midterm election results show.

State Rep. Anthony "Tony" DeLuca won 85.89% of the vote in the 32nd Legislative District while Green Party candidate Queonia Zarah Livingston lost with 14.11% of the vote.

DeLuca passed away on Oct. 9 at the age of 85 after a "brief battle with lymphoma, a disease he twice previously beat," according to a press release at the time of his death.

Pennsylvania House Democrats tweeted after DeLuca's posthumous victory: "While we're incredibly saddened by the loss of Representative Tony DeLuca, we are proud to see the voters to continue to show their confidence in him and his commitment to Democratic values by re-electing him posthumously. A special election will follow soon."

But no. No voter fraud to be seen here folks. Carry on. 😂
